Winfield and Jolowicz on Tort

Winfield & Jolowicz on Tort is the one of main textbook in the area of law of tort. This thick book is an incredible book but the patience is needed in order to read this book and to understand each and everything that had been explained in this book regarding the law of tort.

This book clearly explained every area in law of tort to be clearly understood by person who read it. For law student such as myself, I found this book consist a very detailed explanation where at one point, it is quite hard to extract the gist on that particular area. Personally, I also found the English used in this textbook is pretty difficult to be understood. However, it is still the great textbook.

It might take a long period of time to finish reading this book and to well understand its content because law of tort is not a static law. It will be going through the revolution when the courts made a decision on that particular case. Law of tort is about arguing the case using the case authority to prove that one person has a strong case to win in the court.

Winfield and Jolowicz on Tort, some people say it is like a "bible" in the area of law of tort. I can say it is a main authority of textbook in the area of law of tort especially for law students. For those who are not in law area, maybe you want to challenge yourselves reading this very thick book, which consist only words, sentences, phrases, passages and paragraphs without any kind of pictures or graphic matter except on its cover.
