What’s High Definition?

High-Definition is the latest in a long line of major improvements in television technology, which has moved from black-and-white analogue to widescreen colour digital over the last 50 years. With High-Definition, viewers will enjoy approximately five times the detail of standard definition television broadcast.

It must be said that the introduction of this technology is the best moment for Astro but how about the subscribers? For those who intended to get their Astro B.yond , the High Definition Television is required to operate with Astro B.yond. This might cost more for the subscribers.

However it can’t be denied that this is an opportunity for those who can afford to have and feel the experience of high definition with new Astro B.yond. And Astro, for sure, will be making profit from it. High definition is not a new technology.

The term high definition once described a series of television systems originating from the late 1930s; however, these systems were only high definition when compared to earlier systems that were based on mechanical systems with as few as 30 lines of resolution.

It may just a little bit new to Malaysians. In addition the cost to own the so called “high definition” is more expensive. But still the high definition is more outstanding, astonishing , amazing experience for those who are craze about what they watched on television.
